When you contact Peaksted, submit a coaching enquiry or join an email list, we may collect your name, email address, trek or training goals, approximate dates and the information you choose to share. We may also receive basic device, browser and site-use information through Framer and any analytics or security tools enabled on the site. Please avoid including medical records or highly sensitive information in an enquiry form.
We use personal information to answer enquiries, understand whether a service is suitable, deliver requested resources and emails, improve the website, keep our systems secure and meet legal obligations. Newsletter and guide emails are sent only where you have chosen to sign up, and you can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
Peaksted uses Framer to host and operate the website and MailerLite to manage email sign-ups and campaigns. Information may be processed by these providers and their infrastructure outside Australia. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities where reasonably necessary or required by law. We do not sell personal information.
The site and its service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site functions, security, form delivery and aggregated usage insights. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some parts of the site may then work less reliably.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is completely risk-free. We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal obligations, dispute management or legitimate business records, then delete or de-identify it where practical.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or ask us to delete information where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited records where the law requires it.
If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact Peaksted through the coaching enquiry form and identify the message as a privacy matter. We will review it and respond within a reasonable period. If you remain dissatisfied, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will be published on this page.
