Nathan Gee, Peaksted coach
Your coach

You'll be coached by Nathan Gee.

I've spent 8 years helping people get stronger around real lives, including plenty of clients in their 50s, 60s and beyond, often working around old injuries and busy diaries. When I'm not coaching, I'm out on the trails: North Wales, Europe, New Zealand and Japan so far, with Nepal's Everest Three Passes next. So I train you for the kind of days I walk myself.

  • Sports Science degree, University of Chester
  • Qualified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer

Is this for you?

Coaching works best when it's the right fit.

It's for you if…

  • You're 50 or over, with a big trek booked or planned: Kilimanjaro, Everest Base Camp, the Tour du Mont Blanc or similar
  • You want to enjoy every day of it, not just get through it
  • You're busy, and want a plan that fits your real week
  • You've got a knee, back or old injury you want to work around

It's not for you if…

  • You want a free plan and to go it alone (try the free readiness check instead)
  • You need rehab for a new or worsening injury (see a physio first, then come back)
  • You're looking for a guide, permits or travel bookings (I coach your body, not your logistics)
How it works

Three simple steps.

  1. Answer a few quick questions

Your trek, your date and your biggest worry. Under a minute.

  2. Free 15-minute call

By phone or Google Meet. We talk about your trek, any old injuries and whether coaching is right for you.

  3. Your plan, built for you

Strength, endurance and trek-specific sessions in the FITR app, with a check-in every week, written or as a voice message.

Question 1 of 7

What are you training for?

Questions

Before you book.

I've had a knee, hip or joint replacement. Can you still help?

Often, yes. I've coached plenty of people around old injuries and replacements. Tell me on the call. If you need clearance from your GP or physio first, I'll say so, and we build the plan around their advice.

How much does coaching cost?

It depends on your trek, your timeline and how much support you want, so I'll give you a price on our free call. No obligation, and there's a 14-day fit guarantee if you go ahead.

Do I need a gym or mountains nearby?

No. Stairs, an incline treadmill, a local gym or nearby hills all work. Your plan is built around what you can get to.

How early should I start?

Ideally three to six months before you go. Shorter can still work: we'll focus on what matters most for your trek.

If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure or a recent joint replacement, have a quick chat with your GP before you start training. It's not a reason to stop, just a reason to build the plan around it.

Your trek is waiting. Let's get you ready.
